Did you know? In the ACT, marijuana is legal for personal use! Starting from January 31, 2020, new legislation has made some changes to the rules around using cannabis for those over 18 years old. Residents of the ACT can possess up to 50 grams of dry cannabis or 150 grams of 'wet' (freshly harvested) cannabis. It's still illegal to sell, supply, or consume cannabis in public places. And drug driving is also a big no-no. The legal way to get your cannabis fix is by growing your own plants. Each ACT resident can grow up to 2 cannabis plants, with a maximum of 4 plants per household. Just make sure to keep them in a private area like your backyard. Public spaces like community gardens or parks are a definite no-grow zone. Stay informed and stay responsible!
