Admirals Arch

Admirals Arch is an impressive and unusual natural landmark located on Kangaroo Island. Thousands of years of erosion created this distinctive rock bridge near the Cape du Couedic Lighthouse on the island's southwest coast.

The viewing platform at the Admirals Arch is an ideal place to observe the New Zealand fur seal colony that breed on land, but find food in the water. Their primary breeding season is Summer, and the seal pups like to play in the rock pools underneath Admirals Arch.

Stalactites dangle from the rocky ceiling of this former cave, but the floor is very smooth.

Dolphins frequent the area throughout the year, and Whale migration season takes place between May and October.

The Remarkable Rocks are another unique rock formation nearby.

The Admirals Arch is also the starting point of several hikes throughout Flinders Chase National Park with the Boardwalk leading to the Cape du Couedic Lightstation active since since 1909.

This park is open seven days a week from sunrise to sunset.
