Royal Exhibition Building

Attention history and architecture buffs! The Royal Exhibition Building is a remarkable UNESCO world heritage site and the oldest exhibition hall from the Great Exhibition era still in operation. Located in the vibrant Carlton Gardens, this iconic building is flanked by Victoria, Carlton, and Rathdowne Streets and sits right next to the Melbourne Museum. It's even the largest item in Museum Victoria's collection! Don't miss out on the many trade fairs and public expos held here every year. Although some parts of the building were lost to demolition and fire in the 20th century, the magnificent Great Hall still stands strong as a testament to the past.
