Kings Beach

Kings Beach is a suburb of the Sunshine Coast, located within the Caloundra urban centre.

Kings Beach has a tidal swimming pool on the foreshore that is equipped with shade sails, a free 25-metre sea-water lap pool, children's swimming pool and wading area with disabled access. Within Kings Beach's boundaries is Wickham Head, a headland where the hospital ship AHS Centaur is believed to have been sunk by Japanese submarines in 1943.

Two of Kings Beach heritage-listed sites include:

  • Caloundra Lighthouses   -  6 Arthur Street and 3 Canberra Terrace
  • Kings Beach Bathing Pavilion  -  Ormonde Terrace
